Ugly ducklings. A cute little - but not very smart - duck had decided to nest on our roof terrasse on the third floor of Admiral Gjeddes Gaard in the center of Copenhagen. After 6 weeks of hatching out the 6-7 eggs the small ducklings were born. How then to get the ducklings from the third floor of a building to the ground? The mother duck just pushed them over the edge and had them fall right down on the solid ground. Four of the seemed to survive. Where then? There are no water holes - except for our water fountain - within miles. Finally, Jeanne called Falck - the Danish rescue service - who transported the ducklings to a wildlife park where they will taken care of.
