I got to know Claus Mathiesen - together with Henrik Werdelin - when Araneum in the fall 2000 invested around DKK 4 million in Claus’ and Henrik’s startup company Tripledash. Claus and Henrik are bright and talented guys, Tripledash had a good business model (providing interactive tv programming, solutions and consulting) but they came to life just when the dotcom bubble was about to burst. So Tripledash along with numerous other ventures went bust. Hopefully, Claus and Henrik will rebounce when times get better for itv!

Henning who works with in particular IT-security at ITEK which is part of the Danish Confederation of Industries is shot at a hearing on skills within the IT-security industry.

The last piano evening of 2003 takes place 3 December 2003 in the living room of Mikael and Johan Lynnerup (father and son) in Hillerød, north of Copenhagen.

One way for my to remember that another year has rapidly passed by is to attend the annual Danish book fair at Forum in Copenhagen. I always wonder at how not so long ago I attended the last fair.

Of particular interest to me this year was interviews with writers Per Helge Sørensen and Christina Hesselholdt. I went to high school with Christina and hadn’t actually seen here since then.

My colleague Nicolai Dragsted from Magnusson Wahlin Qvist Stanbrook (MAQS) gives a presentation on new trends in IT contracts at the Danish IT lawyers Association afternoon meeting 18 November 2004. At the same meeting I gave a presentation on certain legal aspects of open source.

My co-partner at von Haller law firm - Kasper Heine - is quoted today in Berlingske Tidende concerning another case from the Danish Board for Domain Name Complaints.

Last night (Monday 3 November 2003) I hosted at Admiral Gjeddes Gaard the first member meeting of the recently re-launched Danish chapter of Internet Society. Guest speakers were Brian Vinter, Director, Nordic DataGRID Facilityn and Michael R. Nelson, Director, Internet Technology and Strategy
IBM Corporation.
