Filed under: Miscellanous, Music, Personal — mhg @ 5:55 pm

Vilhelm has started taking piano lessons. His is being taught using the methods and principles promoted by Shinichi Suzuki which basically say that the child should learn how to play music the way that it learned to peak its mother tongue. Truly fascinating and Vilhelm seems to enjoy it a lot.

“Advarsel mod øget overvågning af private”

Filed under: Books, Danish, IT-security, Press coverage — mhg @ 5:14 pm

I was quoted in this article in Danish online magazine Advarsel mod øget overvågning af private as accepting more electronic surveillance of public spaces to promote transparency and to help solve crimes. My points are heavily influenced by David Brin’s ideas in his book The Transparent Society. I believe in the democratization of surveillance of public spaces (”sousveillance”) by giving all citizens access to such data feeds and in the need to further protect privacy in the private sphere for instance in communication by e-mail or by phone.

After a hiatus over the summer, primarily due some problem caused by upgrading MT to version 3.17 and general upgrade of my system to Suse Linux 9.2. But now this has been fixes and there are no excuses for not to resume at steady flow of posts. Thanks to Guan Yang and Gudjon Bjarnason.
